The Counting House Nursery in Birstall, High Street
March 2015 marked an exciting milestone for us with the opening of The Counting House Nursery at High Street – our largest and most ambitious setting to date.
This beautifully refurbished nursery provides a vibrant, stimulating environment for up to 86 children, while our separate purpose-built Breakfast, After School, and Holiday Club can accommodate a further 48 children, supporting families with flexible, wrap-around care.
A Bright and Spacious Nursery in Birstall
Once a well-known local youth club, the building has been completely transformed into a modern, inspiring childcare setting spread across two spacious floors. Each area is thoughtfully designed to nurture learning, independence, and creativity in children aged 0 to 11 years.
Despite its impressive size, our nursery retains the same warm, welcoming, home-from-home feel that parents and children love across all our Counting House settings.
Play, Learn and Grow – Indoors and Out
Inside, children enjoy large, well-equipped rooms filled with a wide range of activities to match every stage of development. Our learning spaces are designed to encourage curiosity, confidence, and creativity — helping every child to thrive.
Outdoors, we have Three secure play areas:
- One dedicated to our Toddler Room (ages 2–3)
- Another even larger area for our Over 3’s
- And a sheltered corner with a gazebo for our Babies.
Each garden offers endless opportunities for exploration, movement, and fun — whether it’s building, climbing, gardening, or imaginative play.
